Poly (tetrahydrofuran ether glycol) is a chemical substance with the molecular formula ho [ch2ch2ch2ch2o] NH. A white waxy solid that becomes a transparent liquid when the temperature exceeds room temperature. It is soluble in alcohol, ester, ketone, aromatic hydrocarbon and chlorinated hydrocarbon, but insoluble in fatty hydrocarbon and water. When the molecular weight increases, the solubility decreases. At room temperature, PTMEG has water absorption. Its water absorption depends on the molecular weight and can absorb 2 percent water at the highest. It is necessary to remove water and deoxidize before use.

Packaging, storage and transportation: PTMEG should be stored in completely closed cans or other containers with dry nitrogen seal. The tank must be equipped with external or internal heating equipment to keep its temperature around 50 degree . The solidified PTMEG can be fully melted at 70 degree for 24 hours, but it should not be stored at 90 degree for a long time.
